Built on Real Experience, Focused on Practical Skills

We started olivarenqora because too many businesses struggle with budget planning—not from lack of ambition, but from missing the fundamental tools that actually work in day-to-day operations.

Why We Exist

Back in 2022, Rhiannon Tasker was running finance workshops for small businesses around Reading. She noticed something curious—most attendees already knew they needed budgets. What they lacked were the practical methods to build them without drowning in spreadsheets or expensive consultants.

That gap became our focus. We're not here to revolutionize finance theory. Instead, we teach straightforward systems that busy owners can implement during quiet Tuesday afternoons. The kind of budgeting that doesn't require an accounting degree but still gives you control over cash flow.

Our programmes launched in autumn 2023, and we've refined them based on feedback from over 180 businesses across the UK. Some methods worked brilliantly. Others needed adjustment. That ongoing evolution keeps our content grounded in what actually helps.

What Guides Our Approach

Practical First

Every technique we teach has been tested in real business scenarios. If something sounds good in theory but fails in practice, we don't include it.

Honest Feedback

We ask participants what worked and what confused them. Then we adjust. Our content from 2025 looks different from 2023 because we listen.

Accessible Learning

Finance shouldn't require jargon fluency. We explain concepts in plain language, using examples from cafes, studios, and consultancies—not abstract corporations.

Who Runs the Programmes

Two people lead most of our sessions. Both bring different perspectives from their previous careers, which helps create training that balances analytical rigour with practical application.

Lead Instructor

Spent eight years as a financial analyst before switching to education. She prefers straightforward explanations over complicated formulas and has a talent for spotting where budgets go wrong before businesses realize it themselves.

Programme Coordinator

Manages operations and handles participant questions. Previously ran her own retail business, so she knows firsthand what it's like to make budgeting decisions with limited time and resources.

What We're Working Toward

Our goal isn't complicated—we want UK businesses to feel confident managing their budgets without constant external help. That doesn't mean you'll never need an accountant, but you should understand your numbers well enough to make informed decisions.

By late 2026, we hope to expand our programmes to include more advanced forecasting techniques. But that depends on participant interest and whether we can maintain the practical focus that defines our current offerings.

Finance literacy shouldn't be exclusive to those with business degrees. When more people understand budget fundamentals, better decisions follow. That ripple effect is what keeps us refining our content each quarter.
